'The dancing polar bear'
Mijung Kwon is a life time dancer, film/costume maker, model, actress, is having her 4th BA program at UDK(University der Kunst in Berlin). Founder of 'Dancing polar bear production'. Has worked as a translator, tutor, writer, illustrator, cafe waitress, barista, bar hostess, cheer leader, make up artist, beauty blogger, event hostess, webpage developer and so on.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, when she was 21 moved to Kyoto, Japan to study drawing at Kyoto Seika University. Had her financially poorest time in the life there to pursue her dream to learn about art and discover the world, worked at a Japanese talking bar, survived with 1 potato per day. After decided to start dance professionally, returned to Korea, went to China, Hong-Kong. In these four places survived from rape, several imposture, violence, depression, suicide attempting.
After got a incureble hip-joint disease called 'Avascular necrosis of female hear', she came to Germany in 2013 to learn how to deal with the disease and continue dance. A music video based on this story collaborated with Shsha is it's on process(expected realise date Winter 2017).
Highly interested in politics, culture, photography, environmental issues, currently preparing new kimono/hanbok style clothes brand only made by environmental friendly and recycled fabrics.
Dreaming of make the world better with her own art and deliver messages through dance videos, believing in the potential of dance as the most affect communication method.
Still one of stupid human being, still dreaming, still developing.
